This buttoned ear warmer will keep your ears toasty warm while adding some pizzazz to your winter wardrobe.
The pattern is written using two strands of a bulky 5 yarn and takes less than one skein of approximately 120 yards. You could also knit this using one strand of a super bulky 6 yarn.
The ear warmer is knit on a 3/4” gauge Knifty Knitter round loom with a minimum of 14 pegs.
This pattern incorporates increases, decreases, button holes, YO/SSK, and K2tog/YO. Instructions to master these techniques and stitches are completely described and detailed in the pattern. As such, the pattern is suitable for an intermediate loom knitter or an advanced beginner ready to take on a new challenge.
The finished length is approximately 21” tip to tip. From button to button hole, the ear wrap is 18” and it fits most adults.
The ear warmer is 4” wide. If you’re comfortable with a 4” width for a kid’s size, you could just reduce the number of pattern repeats to shorten it up to the desired length and make it work for a child.
The pattern is ready for download now as a PDF file.
